The Slovakian company of the Brose Group where the door systems are produced is located in the Lozorno industrial park near Bratislava.
Coburg/Bratislava. In July, the Brose Group commenced series production of door systems for the new sport utility vehicle, the VW Touarag and Porsche Cayenne, in its Slovakian company of Brose Bratislava spol.s.r.o. This is an order for the development and delivery of the most comprehensive door system ever: door frame, waist rail, window regulator, door control unit, wiring harness, latch, glass and door seal are mounted on an aluminum carrier.
The door systems are delivered in line with the car manufacturers own production cycle. There is a lead time of four hours from receipt of the delivery call-up to assembly of the door at the customers plant, 25 kilometers away. We are capable of producing up to 2,000 variants without any major machine changeovers, is how general plant manager, Jan Francke, describes the highly flexible assembly process.
