Brose Coventry receives Best Factory Award
Accepted the prize on behalf of all the plant’s employees: (left to right) John O'Toole (Logistics, Brose Coventry), Steve Wilkins (Managing Director, Brose Coventry), Elizabeth McVee (Human Resources, Brose Coventry), Wayne Holt (Director of Logistics, Brose Coventry), Lawrence Cox (Director of Production, Brose Coventry) Sandra Park (Finances/Controlling, Brose Coventry), Gary Breakwell (Technical Director, Brose Coventry), Damion Panton (Logistics, Brose Coventry), Kelly Sandhu (Manufacturing, Brose Coventry), Padma Manga (Production, Brose Coventry).
“Brose Coventry has won an enviable reputation over its 20 years,” wrote the jury in its decision. “Only last year, it won top place in Jaguar Land Rover’s Contribution to Quality awards. So far this year its seat business has kept defects to zero parts per million. What’s more, the plant makes nothing for stock and delivers to customers just-in-sequence. Here, too, it has scored zero faults.” The jury added that Brose Coventry always “goes the extra mile” for its customers, making it a worthy winner of the commendation.
At the award ceremony, which took place in London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, Managing Director Steve Wilkins and eight other Brose employees accepted the award on behalf of the entire workforce. Speaking of his teams, Wilkins expressed his gratitude: “Thanks to their determination to steadily improve their performance and to be among the best, our employees have achieved a success they can be very proud of. We know that our future is in our own hands, and we are setting ambitious goals in order to ensure our future. My thanks go out to all of our employees for their commitment.”
The plant went into operation in 1989. Currently the company is supplying Ford, Land Rover, Jaguar, Toyota and Volvo with window regulators and seat adjusters.
