Production Plants and Joint Ventures in Europe

The production plant in Gifhorn went operational in March 2008. In collaboration with our sister plants in Meerane and Bratislava, this location produces door systems for the VW Golf and Tiguan and supplies them just-in-sequence to our customer Volkswagen Wolfsburg situated c. 15 km away. Within 240 to 300 minutes after receiving the order, we ensure that complete door systems are delivered just-in sequence to our customer ready for assembly.
 
Pre-assembled module carriers fitted with window regulators and door control units are supplied from Meerane and completed with wiring harness, closure system, loudspeaker and other components subject to the customer's specifications. For the VW Tiguan, assembly of the window regulator and door control unit on the door module carrier also takes place in the plant in Gifhorn.
